1964 Spirit

All the Grands Fonds 300® dive watches in the 1964 Spirit collection, which share the same DNA, perpetuate the spirit of the first-ever Grands Fonds® created back in 1964. For two decades, this sturdy, accurate timepiece met the requirements of specifications imposed by the French National Navy for equipping its clearance divers. In this collection, the timepieces, showcasing a 41.5 mm-diameter case, waterproof to depths of 300 m, and all tested down to 1,500 m, combine vintage stylistic details with state-of-the-art engineering design. The Magnum-type hands, the indexes and the “lollipop”-styled direct-drive are coated with beige Super-LumiNova®.

Moreover, all the models embrace ZRC®’s latest technical innovations. The Easy Clean System, ECS®, prevents sea salt from crystallizing between the unidirectional bezel and the 316L steel case. Thanks to this device, cleaning the watch with fresh water after a dive ensures salt crystals and impurities are removed.
The Crown Protection System™ guarantees 100% waterproofness. The bracelet or strap cannot be clasped if the crown is not totally screwed. These versatile watches also offer optimized wearer-friendliness for secure use when diving. As such, the unidirectional rotating bezel is slightly withdrawn to ensure its set marker doesn’t change unintentionally during underwater excursions.

To forever be in tune with stylistic preferences of the times, ZRC® proposes a variety of dials, with or without minute tracker and date. Whatever model you choose, the Grands Fonds 300® 1964 Spirit watch hosts an automatic Sellita SW-200-1 caliber in its sophisticated version, renowned for its reliability. Each watch can be coordinated with a metal bracelet, a leather or a NATO strap.
